Therapeutic Communities of America (TCA) works year-round to keep its members informed, to represent our members interests nationwide, create opportunities for learning and networking, and to advocate for public policy that supports substance abuse prevention and treatment.
BENEFITS OF REGULAR AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
- TCA members receive the TCA Newsletters, the TCA membership directory, action alerts on pending public policy issues, and research and information on current trends.
- TCA provides members the opportunity to attend conferences, national meetings, and technical assistance workshops.
- TCA provides a professional environment to brainstorm, problem solve, and discuss new trends, research, and state-of-the-art techniques with peers.
- TCA approved and dues paid member agencies in the TCA regular members category are automatically members of the Board of Directors, with full privileges and benefits.*
- The TCA committee structure gives a collective voice as well as the opportunity to effect nationwide change in areas of interest, such as criminal justice, adolescents, mothers and children, co-occurring illness and clinical practice and research. TCA committees are chaired by TCA Board Members selected by the President.
- TCA's advocacy activities throughout the year allow member's concerns and needs to be heard by Federal policymakers within Congress and the Administration.
- TCA, through its public information efforts, promotes our mission to the trade press and the national media, and finds opportunities for you as members to educate other parties on our issues.
- TCA belongs to national coalitions and holds numerous relationships with other organizations that work together in promoting the needs of the addicted, as well as those who have a co-occurring illnesses.
- TCA is on the cutting edge, evidenced by its participation to develop standards that are nationally recognized.
- All TCA members have the opportunity to participate in a group insurance program.
